Thursday, January 9, 2014 - County crews will have opened up all roads by the end of today, and will begin working on laneways.

Tuesday, January 7, 2014 - 7:00 pm: Alliance Church Move Update: Due to some logistical difficulties, a portion of Township Road 39-2, between Range Road 19-5 (Tower Road) and Highway 56 is closed to all vehicle traffic east and west until approximately Noon on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

January 7, 2014 - All operators are out clearing the 2811 km of county roads. When the roads are all opened up, they will start working on the 553 laneways!

January 3, 2014 - Due to this past week's heavy snowfall and drifting, snow plowing will be limited to daylight hours only and we will be shutting down tomorrow, Saturday, January 4, 2014 to allow our operators to rest. Weather permitting, plowing will resume Sunday, January 5, 2014 with reduced daylight hours only. No laneways will be plowed until all roadways have been cleared first.

Our operators have been going non-stop. Last night's snowfall and drifting has put us right back to the beginning, where every roadway needs to be plowed again. Thank you for your patience.

December 31, 2013 - Grader operators were kept busy over the Christmas holidays clearing snow and drifts. Drive safe this New Years Eve! Our operators are out working hard at clearing 2811 km of County roads, and the snow keeps falling!

December 5, 2013 - County graders are expecting to have completed clearing some of their routes by today, concluding with clean-up and finishing all routes on Friday.

Please make sure your 2013 flag is clearly posted, and stay safe!

November 21, 2013 - The graders are done thier initial pass down all the roads and through all 400+ laneways. If the snow holds off for a few days - they will start making their second passes, working on icy sections and winging back any excessive piles along the sides of the roads.

November 6, 2013: Most routes will be cleared by the end of the day, with the grader routes with more laneways will finish tomorrow. We are well over 60% finished ... we have 2811 km of road to clear in addition to driveways ... so having it cleared in three days is quite a feat!

November 4th, 2013: ALL County Snowplow crews have been out since 6 am this morning ... working at clearing roads and driveways - It will take us between 3-5 days to clear everything - including driveways ... so hang in there!

New rules are now in place for getting your laneway plowed - you will need a 2013 flag posted on your property for our graders to enter. Please call the County Office for more information or to get your flag.
